Pictorial art is always a source of inspiration for fashion. This is my personal view of its intricate relationship.

The above image is a painting from 1940 made by André Derain, and its particular colors match perfectly with these looks from Miu Miu Fall 2012, Ready-to-Wear collection.

We can also see a relation between Pollock’s work of art from 1948, ‘Number 19′, and some looks from Yohji Yamamoto Fall 2018 Ready-to-Wear collection. The endless dripping and the specific drops of red makes me recall some textures in T by Alexander Wang, Fall 2015 Ready-to-Wear collection.

Have you found any more correlations between art and fashion collections? Soon I will share more with you.
